Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly was nearly lost for words on Thursday upon learning follow-up tests revealed he shows no signs of having sinus cancer.

"I don't even know what to do with myself. I'm so overwhelmed. I'm so thankful," Kelly was quoted as saying in a message posted on his wife Jill Kelly's Instagram account. "I want to literally hug and thank all of you in person."

Kelly was informed of the results by his doctor, Peter Costantino, a week after having a series of biopsies performed at New York City's Lenox Hill Hospital.

The results confirmed an initial physical exam Costantino performed two weeks ago, and come three months after Kelly completed radiation and chemotherapy treatments.

Costantino is the head of the hospital's head and neck institute, and oversaw Kelly's treatments since the former Buffalo Bills star was first diagnosed with sinus cancer in March.

Kelly called it "a long road" and said he's not yet fully recovered from cancer treatments.

Levi's Stadium has Brooks Brothers prices

The San Francisco 49ers' new stadium is the most expensive venue to take a family of four for an NFL game.

Team Marketing Report released its Fan Cost Index on Thursday, indicating families will have to shell out an estimated $641.50 to attend a 49ers game in their new digs, Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.

The New England Patriots remain the most expensive ticket at $122, the highest average for a non-premium ticket. They're followed by the 49ers at $117.

The average NFL ticket is $84.43, a 3.5% increase from last season.

Eight teams have average non-premium tickets more than $100. The New York Giants ($111.69), Dallas ($110.20), Chicago ($108.44), New York Jets ($105.66), Washington ($102) and Baltimore ($100.19) round out the field.

Cleveland still has the cheapest average ticket at $54.20, followed by Jacksonville ($57.65).

The Carolina Panthers are sounding less and less optimistic that Cam Newton will be ready for the team's regular season opener Sunday at Tampa Bay.

Coach Ron Rivera said he will make a game-time decision on Newton's availability after the fourth-year quarterback was limited in practice Thursday while recovering from fractured ribs.

Veteran cornerback Champ Bailey worked out with the Detroit Lions on Thursday, according to the team's official website. The New Orleans Saints released the 36-year-old defensive back during final cuts.

Bailey's workout went well and the Lions liked what they saw, NFL.com reported. However, no signing is imminent, according to a person informed of the team's situation.

The Miami Dolphins were awarded defensive tackle Bruce Gaston off waivers from the New England Patriots and waived safety Brandian Ross.

Gaston, a rookie, was signed by Arizona as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue.
