ON THE MOUND: Considering Brett Anderson has pitched fewer than 100 innings in each of his last four seasons, he was relieved to complete his exhibition season without any physical problems. But the Dodgers' No. 4 starter was displeased with his performance Saturday night, in which he was charged with two runs, seven hits and a walk in three innings. "That I only gave up two runs is a testament to my defense," Anderson said. "My stuff was terrible, borderline embarrassing." His Angels counterpart, Hector Santiago, wasn't any better. Santiago pitched 4 1/3 innings and gave up five runs, five hits and two walks.

AT THE PLATE: Enrique Hernandez, who learned he wouldn't be on the Dodgers' opening-day roster, tied the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with a solo home run to center field. The home run was Hernandez's sixth of the spring, equaling Joc Pederson's team-leading total. The Angels went ahead in the seventh inning, 6-5, when Roberto Baldoquin, Collin Cowgill and Johnny Giavotella drove in runs against left-hander David Huff. Cowgill doubled in another run earlier in the game. Albert Pujols was two for three. For the Dodgers, Scott Van Slyke hit a solo home run in the second inning and singled in another run in the fourth. Van Slyke's run-scoring single was followed by a two-run single by Carl Crawford.

EXTRA BASES: Dodgers left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu will resume throwing Monday, Manager Don Mattingly said. Ryu, who was expected to be the Dodgers' No. 3 starter, was shut down two weeks ago because of shoulder inflammation. … Yasiel Puig had a fly ball pop out of his outstretched glove at the warning track in the fourth inning, which resulted in a double for Cowgill. Puig made up for the near-miss on the following play, as he ran down a drive by Giavotella in the right-center field gap. … Two days after Puig was knocked out of the game by Howie Kendrick, center fielder Pederson and backup shortstop Darwin Barney ran into each other in pursuit of a seventh-inning fly ball off the bat of C.J. Cron. Barney spiked Pederson on his right leg, but both players remained in the game.
